Loralie Harris Breast Cancer Support Panels/Pillow Covers

Loralie Harris Breast Cancer Support Panels/Pillow Covers

I’ve used Loralie Harris’ “Still” series panels to create these fabulous pillow covers. Please take a moment of time to view 4 minutes of this 10 minute Youtube video where Loralie shares about her inspiration behind creating this series.

I love knowing the stories behind the artwork.

I have these pillow covers listed on my Etsy site in the links below.

Warm hugs,
Andrea 🙂

Good morning! Been up since 4 AM. My eyes are tired but my mind and body won’t let me sleep.
What do you think of the pillow covers I created? Remember the tutorial I shared on making them? Well, it works! I of course had to ~embellish~ them. I have them listed on my Etsy site here

I have a couple more to share so will post pictures next.

Have a wonderfully creative day!

~Saturday Sewing~ FREE Tablerunner/Placemat Sewing Tutorial

~Saturday Sewing~ FREE Tablerunner/Placemat Sewing Tutorial

Happy Saturday! I found an awesome Table Runner/Placemat tutorial for you to try from Moda. This would be such a fun way to use up fabric scraps and/or ~EXPENSIVE~ fabric that you only purchased a small amount of cause, ‘you just had to have it’!

I understand! You are among a fellow fabric addict. (See attached photo). “Hi, my name is Andrea and to be quite honest, I just bought fabric LAST NIGHT!”

(Please note that I am in no way, shape, or form teasing ANYONE suffering from a true addiction and am NOT making fun of REAL support groups. This is just a funny for those of us who know we spend TOO much on fabric but have to laugh about it.)

Now on to the cool tutorial. See Below

The first person to give this toot a try, AND submit a photo of your finished work, will win a prize. 🙂 We all love WINNING FREE STUFF right?? Hint, I run a fabric shop so take a wild guess what your “free stuff” might be?? hee hee find me at

Please pass this along to your fellow sewers, family, friends, the neighbor down the street, even the ladies at the fabric store/quilt shop. The more the merrier and tell them to mention your name. If they happen to win, you just might get a little something for sending them my way!! (I love giving gifts!) 🙂

Wishing you all a creative, productive Sewing Saturday.

Andrea 🙂

I found this awesome tutorial for making your own Cloth Training Pants!

Thank you Heather From “It’s a Long Story” for sharing your tutorial.  If any of you create training pants from this toot, please share photos here.  I would love to see what you come up with.

Happy sewing!
